A case study of two markets on the Mid-North Coast of New South Wales
Release date:
2007-07-24 Researcher Gabi Brie has recently completed a thesis on Farmers' Markets and the benefits they provide for small family farms.
Gabi's research has been conducted on the mid north coast of New South Wales.
Her studies have found that farmers' markets are a very positive development in the world of food retailing.
They are wonderful for providing farmers great opportunities with advertising, market research, positive social experiences and the knowledge of being appreciated as producers of high quality foods.
However, despite all their positive benefits, farmers' markets are not necessarily the answer for all the difficulties that beset small farmers.
